4th Annual National Day of the Cowboy

National Day of the Cowboy is celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday of July to honor the culture, heritage, and contributions of American cowboys and cowgirls. Founded in 2005, this day features events, rodeo activities, and historical education to preserve the “true grit” and values of the American West.

Cowboy Fellowship of Aggieland has honored this day with a community event since 2023. We have cowboy music and poetry throughout the entire five hour event. Cowboy craftsmen are invited to show their skills and creations. Attendees can learn how to make cowboy biscuits and beans and enjoy a cup of cowboy coffee. (or lemonade for those not yet old enough to appreciate the fuel of the working cowpoke!)

All of this is available free of charge for the folks of the Brazos valley
